Job Summary:

• The company has a wide variety of polymer processing activities including calendaring, sheet and profile extrusion, thermoforming and injection moulding.
• We are looking to process more than 7000 tons of polymers including PVC, PP and HDPE in the current financial year. 

Experience Required:

• The plant is headed by a polymer technologist and has a qualified QC team in place.
• We are looking to hire a QA manager that will report to the plant head and be in charge of the QC team.
• Mandatory to be from PVC or Plastic Industry.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in plastics engineering/processing, quality management or a related field from a reputed university. Masters’ degree would be a plus.
• Proven experience in quality assurance within the plastic manufacturing industry with a focus on calendaring, extrusion or injection moulding processes
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality control methodologies and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Experience in leading and managing a team of quality assurance professionals
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
• Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Quality assurance certifications are desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures in line with industry standards and best practices.
• Establish and maintain quality control processes to ensure product consistency, reliability and compliance with specifications.
• Monitor and evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, providing guidance, training and support to ensure a high level of performance.
• Investigate customer complaints or quality issues, identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions
• Maintain and update quality documentation, including standard operating procedure, work instructions and quality records,
• Ensure effective communication of quality related information to relevant stakeholders both internally and externally
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes and technological advancement related to quality assurance in the plastic manufacturing industry
• New and existing vendor’s assessment.
